Now while we're talking about power, let's talk about careers and how to use it there because that's the most important kind of power You can have which is money You need to be up close and personal with those who matter and those who are in charge. I Know that sounds difficult. I know that sounds like a stretch, but the way you do it is small So someone will be directly above you and then they let's say you work in a larger firm There's plenty of other people on top of them The way that you get the power in your workplace is by being chummy with someone who has sway with both the top and the bottom You need to appeal to them in some way. So first you start off with casual greetings Okay, like you're just being polite.
So you see big boss man walking past you you smile You are in the same elevator. You comment on shoes pants a watch anything Over time you continue this it it builds rapport. It always builds rapport. Okay You want to be thoughtful you want to be considerate you want people to see you that way Okay, remember that so anytime you notice something is different like a new haircut or a new I don't know I'm sure they'll have a celebration of something, you know about it.
