Frequently asked questions
Am I a sociopath or just cold?
Cold usually scores on the psychopathic axis, not this one. This axis rises with impulsive, reactive answers. If your sociopathic score is at or below 15 you are with the bottom half of takers; being reserved is not the same thing.
What is a high sociopathic score?
The high band starts at 60. Only 0% of takers reach it; the top 10% starts at 35.
Is a high score a diagnosis?
No. It is a self-report across twenty scenarios. Only a clinician can diagnose, and only with a proper assessment. Read the band, not a label.
What this axis measures
Answers that read as impulsive, rule-bending, quick to anger, and short on remorse rather than cold. The sociopathic axis is the reactive cousin of the psychopathic one: heat where that one is ice.
Traits, or the type?
Traits here look like a short fuse, a taste for risk, and a loose relationship with rules. Antisocial personality disorder is the clinical label, diagnosed on DSM-5 criteria and history, and it is far rarer than the traits. A high band score is a pattern in your answers, not that history.
